Read about our story.
What’s the story behind Onbox?
Parama, who lives in Mississauga, frequently helps his wife, Fatma, with selling vintage items on Facebook Marketplace. He then realizes that the experiences are often not as smooth as it should be for them.
Due to his frustration with scheduling and rescheduling appointments with buyers, frequent wasting of time with late buyers, and the uncertainty if the buyers have ill intentions or not, he came to a conclusion that there’s got to be a better way.
He spent a long time looking for alternatives and finally decided to design and build a better way to and a smoother experience for people to sell locally to one another.
Selling locally amongst people should be easy, and comfortable. At Onbox, this is what we strive to achieve. Especially during uncertain times such as the pandemic, when it seems that only big businesses can make money. There’s got to be a way where ordinary people can make extra income.
